Who is Sarah?

If we met in person, you might be a little surprised (or not). I'm fairly reserved in person and not very outgoing. However, I love people and try to reach out to them even though I'm an introvert. If you're looking for me at a gathering, you'll probably find me with a friend, family member, or the kids, but make sure you say hello.

The most important thing about me is that I'm a child of God. My greatest desire is to honor God with my life each and every day. I do it imperfectly, but God's still working on me. Praise Him for not giving up on me. If you ever are over, I would love to talk about what God is teaching us and how we can serve Him better. I write about what God is teaching me under the tag Where Faith Takes You.

In September of 2021, I married my best friend. Now, I know that is a popular thing to say. However, Scott and I had been friends for seven years. We had been each other's best friends for almost that long. Our story is one of God's faithfulness and perfect timing.
I blog about us under the tag Scott and Sarah or My Somewhat Normal Live

I'm the eighth generation in my family to be born and raised in Texas. Yes, my ties to this state are strong, but not as strong as the bonds to my family. I love nothing better then to spend time with both my biological family, and the one I married into. I'm a lifelong country girl that now lives in the big city of Austin in a super cute apartment. I most often blog about what's going on with me under the tag My Somewhat Normal Life.

I know God has a destiny for me that is wonderful and full of good things, even if it's not like what I planned. Sometimes, when I realize another piece of God's unfolding destiny for me, I share about it under the tag Where Destiny Takes You.

Here are a few things I'm passionate about (in no particular order):
  • Mentoring young woman
  • Hiking with my husband
  • Sewing
  • Reading
  • Books
  • Writing
  • Helping others achieve their goals
  • My friends
  • Tea
  • Jane Austen
  • My family
